About Janelle

Lassalleworks is a creative content agency founded by Janelle “Lulu” Lassalle.

A writer, artist, actress, model, researcher and idea machine based in Los Angeles, CA, Janelle delights in producing colorful, whimsical work inspired by psychedelics, outer space and mother nature. Her writings range from creative works to journalistic, data-driven pieces that have appeared in a number of top tier publications including Forbes, Rolling Stone and VICE.

Lassalle’s first book, The Ketamine Handbook: A Beginner's Guide to Ketamine-Assisted Therapy for Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, PTSD, and More, is a non-fiction work that debuted in summer of 2023 and is distributed by Simon & Schuster. Her debut work of fiction, HOLY FUCKING SHIT, a gothic, paranormal thriller, is set to debut spring 2024.

Specialties include physical paintings made with several different mediums including acrylic and alcohol based inks; digital artwork and illustration; mixed media pieces, animations and video editing.

Much of her art is inspired by the Art Nouveau period, and she holds a special place in her heart for the artists Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet. The idea of kintsugi, the pottery practice in which cracked vessels are repaired with gold, is a central theme in her art as it is a reminder that even flaws can be beautiful.

Lassalle is proud to identify as a scientist AND a witch 🖤
